BUSHIDO

-the samurai spirit- 

 

BUSHIDO is the way the SAMURAI lives.

One principle of BUSHIDO way is spirit.

I call this BUSHIDO-The SAMURAI Spirit-.

BUSHIDO-The SAMURAI Spirit-is the spirit of self discipline.

It is to express the strength to face your own mind.

This is morality that represents a mental attitude.

It is the spirit given to all people.

*BUSHIDO-The SAMURAI Spirit- consists of seven virtues.

 

1 JUSTICE 

The right way to live as a human being

・Do not cheat

2 COURAGE

 Courage to do the right thing

・Pay attention to cheating

3  BENEVOLENCE

 To love people and be compassionate

・Even enemies will not forsake them

4  POLITENESS

 Modesty born from respecting other people

・Not only in appearance, but also from the heart

5  SINCERITY

 Keep one's promises. Honesty

・Do not lie

6  HONOUR

 To penetrate a noble way of life and not to be ashamed of oneself

・To act for people and society without seeking anything in return

7  THE DUTY OF LOYALTY

 spontaneous loyalty to the loved one

・Do one's best for those who helped and those who believed

BUSHIDO-The SAMURAI Spirit- has been passed on to modern Japanese people as well.

EXAMPLE

JUSTICE

If you drop your wallet on the street, someone picks it up and delivers it to the police station.

POLITENESS

There are various religions in Japan.

But everyone respects each other's religion.

JUSTICE  BENEVOLENCE  POLITENESS

Even in the event of a disaster such as a big earthquake and tsunami, we help each other without plundering or rioting.

I believe that increasing the number of people who understand and act BUSHIDO-The SAMURAI Spirit- is a step closer to

WORLD PEACE.
